SITES AND FACILITIES

Our aim is to provide simple and clean facilities. A place where you can rest and restore.

You will find the essential things here, without any frills, which helps us keep the price down for you.

The amenities building has been designed to fit into the bush atmosphere, clad with locally sourced hardwood and in the style of an old cane cutters building. It provides hot showers and clean toilets that meet modern disability requirements.

Out the back there is a coin operated washing machine, a dryer and two large washing lines.

Most sites are 'drive through' and are longer and wider than usual to cater for big machines and towing combinations. S Wandering Eagles 2014web

Our sites are all suitable for right or left hand vans.

All driveways are gravel to stop the mud during wet periods.

Most sites have raised concrete slabs, also designed to keep the water away from your outside furniture when it rains.

The Park does not get flooded as we are at the top of a ridge and the land slopes away.

S Old shed west

The Old Shed has comfortable picnic tables and a sink to rinse dishes.

We are still in the process of building our wood fired BBQ.

PLEASE NOTE: We have no kitchen or cooking facilities available - BYO kitchen!

There is plenty of space with level areas for games such as Disc Bowls and room for gatherings and socialising.

Near the Old Shed is a herb garden with rosemary, sage, allherb, chillis, tarragon, lemongrass and the like.

We have provided heavy iron firepots which can be used (except when there is a fire ban) and you are welcome to use your own gas or wood fired portable BBQs.

The water taps at each site are fixed to recycled fence posts from the farm.
Water provided comes from a bore on the property (49m down, through sandstone) and is filtered, treated and stored near the house then pumped to the camp ground as required.
The water is quite pleasant to drink and regular tests are taken to check that it meets Australian Drinking Water Guidelines.
The power outlets at each site are a single 15amp power head.

All used water is treated onsite in our Sewage Treatment Plant which is located outside the camp area.

We do ask that bacteria killing cleaning liquids and cassette toilet contents etc are not disposed of in our drains.

The nearest 'black water' dump point is in Childers.
